Coming to Earth as a Human

"The Eternal Being, who knows everything and who created the whole universe, became not only a man but (before that) a baby, and before that a fetus inside a woman's body.  If you want to get the hang of it, think how you would like to become a slug or a crab." - C.S. Lewis

I have always loved C.S. Lewis.  He has such a wonderful way of explaining great theology.  I often forget how big of a "step down" it was for God to become a human.  How humbling that was.  How special He thought humans are to become one of us for 33 years.  Yet for us, because He loved us, He did it.

This post was inspired by the book Guide to God by Bruce Bickel and Stan Jantz.
