We, the Mice

Carl Jung said "Is it worth the lion's while to terrify the mouse?"

Of course not, it is a waste of the lion's time.  A lion can step on a mouse, or brush it aside with its huge paws.  Yet God gives us the book of Job, to teach us how deep suffering can be.  Why?

Because we do not know that we are mice.  We do not even look up and see the lion most of the time.  We are so busy living in our little mouse-world that we pay no heed to the mighty lion walking above us.

This post was inspired by "The Bible Jesus Read" by Philip Yancy.
