Confessing, Consequences

David and Bathsheba married and had a baby. He murders her husband. Scripture tells us "The thing that David had done displeased the Lord."

God sent a man named Nathan to confront David. He confronts David with a parable .. what a foreshadowing to Jesus' methods of teaching. Through Nathan, God speaks to David words of condemnation. God tells David that his house will be destroyed as punishment for his actions.

David finally admitted "I have sinned against the Lord."

How bad does my life have to get before I admit my sin? I hope never as bad as David's. My pride is so stubborn that I hate to confess sin, which is silly because God is certainly aware of my sin whether I confess it or not. Yet my pride still gets in the way.
