Christian Oneness

This chapter is about yielding your specific desires when they do not match up with your spouse's desires. Meberg writes that one spouse should yield their preferences for the sake of "Christian oneness."

My husband argue about petty issues most of the time - on the big issues we agree. Like most couples, we have the same arguments repeatedly. In the interest of "Christian oneness," I should yield my petty desires to my husband's. As much as I now that, I don't remember this in the heat of arguments. I pray that the Holy Spirit will remind me of our need for Christian oneness, in our marriage and in our family.
