"Today" and "That Day"

Martin Luther said there were two days that mattered on his calendar: "today" and "that day."

If I focus my thoughts on those two moments in time, my life would be simplified. What can I do today which will affect what will happen to me on that day?

I actually spend the majority of my days focused on the trivial minutia of my day. I never think about my judgment before God. I need to narrow my thoughts and actions to only what matters: what I am doing today that will matter on that day. Anything else is irrelevant.

This post was inspired by the book In Light of Eternity by Randy Alcorn.
