Forgiveness ..

Warren writes that "Forgiveness takes care of the past. Trust is all about the future, and it must be earned over time."

I, and I assume every human being ever, have struggled with forgiveness. I have resisted forgiving certain persons because I did not like them and no longer wanted them in my life. I was looking forward ... to future behaviors and contacts. Yet, forgiveness deals with past behavior. Forgiving a person does not mean that I will be friends with the person in the future. I may never have to see that person again. I may never trust that person again. Yet, I can still forgive them.
