The Final Buzzer

The only sport I sort of follow is figure skating (which is a sport!). There have been times when I have watched football and my brother & father really like baseball, so I am aware of that sport by osmosis. But, basketball has never been something which I or my family have ever followed. But, I loved this basketball analogy.

My death will be like the final buzzer of a basketball game. Any shots I attempt after the buzzer will not count. So, prior to my death, I have to take all the shots I can with my time, talents, and resources. Sure, a lot of those "shots" will miss, but I have to try. Even if I do not succeed, I at least have to try, while I still can.

This post was inspired by the book In Light of Eternity by Randy Alcorn.
